A series of pictures I took of the former American Adventure theme park site in early 2016 prior to its redevelopment.
I was fortunate enough to have grown up with Shipley Country Park as an extension to my backyard and remember fishing for minnows in the streams that fed the lake and sledging down the hills in winter.
These pictures record its transition from one stage to another. They aren’t meant to be depressing even though I find it sad that the area hasn’t been incorporated in Shipley Country Park.
For those who have an interest in photography, the images were all taken using a Hasselblad Xpan, 45mm lens and Kodak Portra 400 film.
